SE7EN SOUTH: Bio

Nick "The Captain" Prokopchak - drums/electronic drums/ percussion/ vocals

Nick "The Captain" Prokopchak. The original drummer and percussionist of SE7EN SOUTH for over 9 years. Played professionally with a host of touring bands that traveled the country and sometimes landed near his home close to the Poconos. Electrical engineer for the Federal Government by day, Nick brings that unique flavor that stamps SE7EN SOUTH a unique beat and blend. Nick likes imported beer and spilling it all over.
Little Update: Our Nicky has been in Bagdad for a few months and we miss him dearly. He is currently touring in Southeast Asia with "WARLOCK" a highly explosive and electrified crew. If you have the chance catch this musical sensation with our dear friend Captain Nicky on percussion. There are rumbles he might be stateside late 2008- we wish you safe travels friend and look forward to your safe return.

George Stuscavage - acoustic 6 & 12 string/ electric guitars/ vocals

George Stuscavage dropped from the sky right into the middle of a St. Patrick's Gig that lasted a full year. Following the success of the St Patrick's Night show, George found himself stoppin in and laying a few tracks down here and there (usually on Pre World War II East German recording equipment) and much to his surprise , an album came out of it! George is a member of the local rock band "the Barlords" and can be caught most weekends playing out in the local pubs. He composed Haley's Polar Bear Lullaby, and shines on the acoustic 12 string guitar. The newest member of SE7EN SOUTH. His favorite past times are driving uninsured vehicles and working on vintage guitars & amps. A little update:
George is molding with clay a new Country Rock Band look for listing in the WB area. Yee haw . .

James Frushon - keyboards, synth, piano. organs, kazoo, vocals

James Frushon, one of the orginal members of SE7EN SOUTH was recruited as keyboard player from the monster RubberBand. James brings a host of jazz and blues from yesteryear that comes in handy when the band takes a 6 hour break and the studio becomes a nightclub. From Frishbergh to Miles Davis, Jimmy can play 'em on the ivory. His stong recording background and production skills made him a natural to work with Pepper Watkins on tweeking this album. James resides in California, and paints by the seaside wearing only a fez. Until James moved into Savanna Georgia and has become "Savanna Jim" keyboard player to the stars and their gardeners. James loves the new climate and old town. Seek him out in down town area at the piano, you'll be glad you did!

Kevin McGroarty - acoustic guitars/spoons/vocals

Kevin McGroarty is an orginal member of SE7EN SOUTH since 1997. Lyrics and some composition, his writing skills are much clearer when he's away from the Irish medicine. Vocal front man for most of the new Album, Kevin takes full credit when things go right and blames everyone else when a bad note comes from his guitar work. His favorite past times are sleeping in public places, franziskaner, and rubber stamp collecting. A little update: Kevin has sharpened his pencil and is currently working on Alblumo Trio/ the third album from Se7enSouth.
Unless Cash Cab is on the Discovery Channel, then everything comes to a complete halt.

SE7EN SOUTH - the band

SE7EN SOUTH. The band was formed in 1996 with then guitarist Mark Bogdin. Booking were mostly private parties and the snooty Westmorland Club. Over the years the band has opened for such monster acts as:
The Groundhogs, BeetleJuice, and Mike Kresavage and his amazing Accordian. Named after a psychiatriac unit in a local Hospital SE7EN SOUTH has turned the corner from road event band to studio productions only. ALBLUMO UNO is the first album from SE7EN SOUTH and is available in Joe Nardone's Gallery of Sound.
